Vancouver International Poetry Festival, April 23-28, 2012

The second annual Vancouver International Poetry Festival will harness the diversity of spoken word in Canada and beyond to present a world-class spoken word festival that showcases the best that Canada has to offer, as well as exploring and expanding the boundaries of contemporary spoken word. It will be an opportunity for Vancouver audiences to experience some of the most cutting-edge spoken word presentations in Canada and the world, supporting the further expansion of the local spoken word community to support outstanding artists to present their work on an ongoing basis.

The Vancouver International Poetry Festival will be an unstoppable, no-holds-barred spoken word experience for Vancouver poetry lovers, building a community and an audience that can support the development and creation of new forms of spoken word presentations for years to come.
