This event is usually hosted by Public Dreams and scheduled for the Saturday preceding Halloween, but will not be held this year. Let's hope this extremely well-attended event is back on for 2010!

pride & joy East Side Pride Festival June, 2010, details TBA
The Vancouver Pride Society's 2005 resurrection of Stonewall festivities has evolved into the East Side Pride Festival with performance stage and great festivities in Grandview Park, often complemented by a dance at the WISE Hall.

farmers market Italian Week 2010: June, 2010, details TBA The official opening will be held on the outdoor stage at the ICCS at 12:00pm followed by entertainment, a Friends of Ferrari Race for the children, Italian culinary delights, market vendors, a special surprise performance for the children, a virtual trip on The Art Express bus and lots of fun for the entire family!
alice in wonderland Alice in Wonderland Festival Sunday July, 2010 (dates to be confirmed) in Trout Lake Park (John Hendry) Victoria Drive between East 13th & East 19th
You can attend as any character from Alice in Wonderland. A mad croquet rally was presided over by the king and queen of hearts; a causus race was lead by the dodo and special appearances were made by Humpty Dumpty, the Tweedles, the mock turtle, the catterpillar and Queen Victoria.

Resurrected in 2006 by the Vancouver Pride Society, Stonewall is celebrated in the East Vancouver's Grandview Park on Commercial Drive between 11am-4pm.

This extremely popular event is back on their 2009 season's roster. Get your lanterns ready and head on down to Trout Lake for the drum-beating, horn blowing parade around the lake!

latin summer fest Latin Summer Fest! August, 2010, details TBA in Trout Lake Park (John Hendry) Victoria Drive between East 13th & East 19th
A full day of family fun and is FREE! Trout Lake will skirt the setting for the community celebration on its fifth edition starting with an opening parade on the Drive at 10 a.m. flags and walkers welcome. The shows run from 12 - 7 pm complete with food courts, information booths, artisan market and a kids zone.

farmers market Farmer's Market Each Saturday from mid May to Thanksgiving weekend at Trout Lake Community Centre.
The market features organic produce from BC farms, original art, jewelery, bedding plants, baked goods, GREAT coffee and some of the city's most talented buskers.
