Sox in the City

This winter, let's make sure no one goes without a new, dry pair of socks.

Warm, dry feet are a must as wet winter weather arrives again in Vancouver. Many people in the Downtown Eastside and in other communities live without access to basic amenities and suffer from foot infections caused by ill-fitting shoes, no socks and walking for miles each day as their only means of getting around. Many of these people also have diseases which complicate their foot problems – problems that could
often be prevented by having new, dry socks.


To donate new socks, look for the BIG RED SOXBOX at the following locations:

• Evergreen Community Health Centre; 3425 Crowley Drive (at Joyce), Vancouver

• Vancouver General Hospital; 855 West 12th Avenue, Vancouver

• Community Policing Centres in Vancouver
