Verses Festival of Words (previously Vancouver International Poetry Festival) April 5-12, 2014
The fourth annual Festival will harness the diversity of spoken word in Canada and beyond to present a world-class spoken word festival that showcases the best that Canada has to offer, as well as exploring and expanding the boundaries of contemporary spoken word. Reserve your tickets!

a celebration of food, art, environment and community, including farmers market, food vendors, local artists, community groups, talks and workshops, live music, children’s activities, free soup and more!

The unique concept of this festival is to have a multitude of performances within people’s homes and back yards. Performances consist of music (including folk, hip hop, world, bluegrass, and classical), theatre, dance, spoken word, story-telling, and comedy.
Italian Day on the Drive! Sunday, June 8, 2014, 12 - 8 PM
This event embraces the history and contributions made by the Italian community to Vancouver. Experience 'la dolce vita' and all that is Italian, including food, entertainment, fashion, activities and product. 2005 was the kick-off for this annual event that's a celebration of our neighbourhood and the businesses, organizations, and people that make the Drive what it is.

Gathering for the march begins at 12:00 noon at McSpadden Park (5th/Victoria) and marches down Commercial Drive at noon ending at Grandview Park (Commercial Drive @ William) with a family friendly music festival.
Farmer's Market Each Saturday from mid May to Thanksgiving weekend at Trout Lake Community Centre.
The market features organic produce from BC farms, original art, jewelery, bedding plants, baked goods, GREAT coffee and some of the city's most talented buskers.
Parade of the Lost Souls: The Secret Souls Walk will take place on Saturday, October 26, 2013 from 6:30 - 9:30 PM

East Side Culture Crawl November 15, 16, 17, 2013
Painters, jewellers, sculptors, furniture makers, musicians, weavers, potters, writers, printmakers, photographers, glassblowers; from emerging artists to those of international fame. Shop for original gifts and art right in the artist's studios!
Christmas on the Drive November 30, 2013, 1pm to 5pm
We'll be lighting the 60' tall Commercial Drive Christmas Tree, and will have choirs, carolers, kids activities, seasonal beverages, and baked goods.
